A Note to the Reader of the wilkinweb

Just wanted to put out this note to the reader of the wilkinweb. From all of the sophisticated technical tracking data that this site gathers, I have been able to pour over the mountains of bits and bites of data and have come to the conclusion, and this may come as a surprise to many, or no one at all, the wilkinweb's most frequent visitor is located in India. 

That's not to say that we haven't had our fair share of visitors from all over the world.  

The first day our site went 'online' we went international, getting hits from Russia, China, India, France, Germany and of course the USA (that was mostly me).  The Russians and Chinese, seeing that the site was just typical American self-centered garbage, only come by every month or so now, hit a couple of pages and leave again, even more disappointed in me than they were the last time.

But there is this one guy in India who keeps coming back.  I know it's the same guy because they keep leaving comments on stuff and links to Indian themed porn sites.

Yeah, I know, it's probably a bot autonomously posting stuff but I really hope it's a person.  I have started referring to him (or it) as Babu.  

(Note to self: Copyright the a new pronoun: "hit", meaning he + it. Feminine form: "shit", meaning she + it...Oh, maaaaannnn, that's never going to fly...)

I have really started to look forward to Babu's comments.  I imagine him stopping by once or twice a week, marveling at my photography skills while sipping a cup of tea.  Maybe he looks at Marley's pictures of the Sun setting over Lake Erie and imagines sitting there on the beach with us discussing the great Indian philosopher Acharya Hemachandra's poetry, or what role India's billion people will play in the world economy.  Yeah. Just me, Marley and my buddy Babu,  hanging out on the wilkinweb.  

And then, every time, Babu is like, "Hey man, check out this Indian themed porn site!"

"Babu! My daughter is here! Enough with the Indian themed porn sites already."

"Geez Babu."

Then there is another comment from Babu, "Hey, check out this Indian themed porn site!"

It breaks my heart not to be able to post Babu's comments because he is the wilkinweb's most frequent visitor. Also because, you know, Babu and I have a friendship forged in the loneliness of a pandemic and tempered by our being the top two visitors to this very site.

So as the headline of this post read: here is a note to the reader of the wilkinweb:

My Dearest Babu, 

I am writing to you today to let you know how grateful I am that you are the most frequent visitor of the wilkinweb.  I truly appreciate your determination to post comments on just about every page you can.  It shows what a diligent and determined person you are. I am certain your Mother and Father are quite proud of you!

You may be wondering why your comments never show up on the site. Babu, it is really hard to find the words to say this to you.

Babu, it's like this...

Hummmmm...

Ok Babu, you are a very generous person.  I mean just look at how selflessly you dole out comments on the wilkinweb!  I mean...you are really generous.  That's a great quality, Babu.   I am certain your Mother and Father are so very proud of you! And they should be!

And I know, when you find a good Indian themed porn site, well, like anybody else, you want the world to know.   

But unfortunately Babu, for some reason, the company that hosts the wilkinweb doesn't allow stuff relating to porn.  I mean like if they find it on here, they will shut it down!  And I know that both you and I would be crushed if that were to happen!

But Babu, please know that you are always welcome on the wilkinweb, and this is in no way a reflection on you. You are a great man who has parents who are very proud to call you their son! And I am very proud to call you a friend.

And with that in mind, I want to make a promise to you: 

I promise that all future blog posts will be written specifically to you. Yes,  just a conversation between you and me buddy. Please feel free to comment, just leave out the referrals to the Indian themed porn sites.
