Hey Babu!
Just wanted to give you an update on how the deep sky object astrophotography is going.
I got a chance to take some pictures of the Orion and Running Man Nebula in March. And I wanted to share with you some examples of my progress over the last year in photographing this subject.
The picture above is from April 4, 2020.
So what's the difference between last year's picture and this year's?
Well Babu, it boils down to me being stupid, or should I say uneducated. I remember pulling up that picture on the computer after I took it last year and zooming way in to the smudgy spot toward the bottom center of the picture and thinking, "I really need to keep my lense cleaner."
Guess what Babu?
After some research I found out that that is actually the Orion Nebula.
I'm guessing that you are pretty well educated Babu, what with the promoting of Indian themed porn sites. But for a guy like me, who's only promoting a boring site like the wilkinweb, being uneducated is a great way to push yourself to learn things. Like, for instance, the pictures taken last year were taken on a static tripod with an exposure time of about 3 seconds. Anything longer than that and the stars would start getting tails.
Babu, if you haven't seen a picture of star trails, here is an example of one:

I'm sure you've seen pictures of the stars circling around the sky like that. I had too. But because I was uneducated, I didn't know that I could have taken a picture like that with a static camera and a tripod, using the same equipment I used to take the picture above, which I have started to refer to as "Is that a Smudge on My Lense or are You Just Happy to be the Orion Nebula?"
So instead of taking pictures using the equipment I already had, I started to educate myself on how to take pictures of deep sky objects, like nebulas. Because, as you know Babu, I am made of money and love to complicate things.
As you can see Babu, I didn't have a lot of success at first. Here is another picture of the Orion Nebula that I took in September of 2020 after a little more education.
Here is something you may not know Babu, at least I didn't before I started researching how to take a really cool pictures of deep space objects. All of those really awesome pictures you see online or in books or magazines of nebula's and stuff, they really are not a single picture, like you don't just point and shoot. They are actually many minutes long pictures stacked on top of eachother and merged into a single picture using computer software.
So here are some pictures I have taken of the Orion Nebula in 2021.
These are 20 separate 3 minute exposures, stacked in photo editing software, and edited further in Photoshop and other software.
There is still a lot wrong with these pictures but I think I'm getting better at this.
What do you think Babu?
Oh, and please say hello to your mother and father for me.
