Joseph and Marley's Quest to Find Santa's Lair

Inclement Weather Inspires "The Great Thanksgiving Day Expedition."

MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, OH:  Inspired by an Artic blast on Thanksgiving day, two courageous explorers, Joseph and Marley,  began their quest to discover the lair of the much ballyhooed do-gooder from the north, Mr. Santa Claus.

Anticipating challenging weather conditions and frigid cold wind chills, the two explores made epic  preparations for their merciless excursion, based on reports from the National Weather Service and their overprotective mother.   Time and expense were not a factor for the two youths as they adorned themselves in layer up on layer of the latest protective winter gear.  After a forty-five minute preparation the two were ready to begin the greatest excursion of their lives.

National Geographic Photographers captured the following photographs of what will go down in history as "The Great Thanksgiving Day Expedition."  The two courageous explorers head out.

Only seconds after entering the harsh environment that they would have to traverse, Marley exclaimed, "I'm cold!"  To which her brother Joseph called through the howling wind, "It's OK Mar!....Just follow me..."

Marley, braving the elements.

Marley taken aback by her brother's progress.

Joey within site of the Pole.

After traversing only about twenty feet, Joseph mistakenly identified the 1x2 stake half way down the driveway as the North Pole.  This was quickly confirmed as a positive sighting by their Eskimo guide, Dad, who stated, "See!  There is a Santa Claus! He lives toward the end of our driveway,  Let's get in side!"

Joey waves, close to what he believes is the North Pole.

Marley celebrates the discovery of the North Pole by making a snow angel.

Exhausted the two explorers agreed and made their way back to the warm confines of their small home, very far away from the North Pole.
